I don’t know if this is a problem all over–I’ve only seen it in Jacksonville, FL, but that’s where I live so I’m a lot more likely to see it here. And it’s a big enough problem here that there’s actually been a report on the local TV news about it. I bought my Toyota Prius in September, 2004, to replace a 1995 Geo Prizm (that’s a Toyota Corolla incognito). As much as I’d like to honestly say I did it for the environment, the truth is it was for the money.* I drive about 25,000 miles a year, and even with gas costing around $1.70/gal [...] Here it is, my inaugural blog post.
