One of my pet peeves is when someone expresses an opinion that they’re simply passing along from someone else, one they’ve put absolutely no thought into themselves, it’s just because so-and-so said it. [How to get maximum results with minimum damage to your sanity] My sister recently posted this to her blog: I skipped work this afternoon. It’s easy to do that when you’re self-employed and none of your clients have a big emergency to make you feel guilty. Anyway, my reason? To watch opening day it Yankee Stadium 2.0. I don’t know if this is a problem all over–I’ve only seen it in Jacksonville, FL, but that’s where I live so I’m a lot more likely to see it here. And it’s a big enough problem here that there’s actually been a report on the local TV news about it. |
